New Zealand has banned Bitcoin ATMs and set a $5,000 limit on international cash transfers. The changes are part of a broader effort to reduce money laundering and organised crime. Associate Justice Minister Nicole McKee stated that criminals had been using these machines to quickly convert cash into digital assets for illicit activity. Similar measures have recently been introduced in Australia and parts of the United States.
