1What is Guardian?
Guardian is a multi-sig (multi-signature) feature that enhances the security of your bitcoin. We hold 1 key, and you hold 2 keys, ensuring only you have full control over your funds.
2How does Guardian work?
Guardian uses a 2-of-3 multi-sig setup. To authorise any transaction, 2 out of the 3 keys are required. Since you hold 2 keys and we hold 1, you have complete control over your bitcoin.
3Why is multi-sig important?
Multi-sig adds an extra layer of protection. Even if one of your keys is compromised or lost, no one can move your funds without the second key.
4Can I move my bitcoin without Guardian's assistance?
You will need at least 2 keys to move your funds. As long as you hold both your keys, you can move your bitcoin without involving us.
5What happens if I lose one of my keys?
If you lose one of your keys, you can still move the funds using the remaining key along with the key held by Bitaroo Guardian.
6Can Bitaroo Guardian help if I lose both my keys?
No. If you lose both your keys, Bitaroo Guardian cannot recover your bitcoin. It is critical to keep your keys safe.
