The bill aims to investigate Bitcoin-related corruption and Bukele’s government activities, including potential sanctions. Bukele responded online with, “HAHAHAHAHAHAHA the Dems are just salty”. While El Salvador has scaled back its Bitcoin legal tender enforcement, Bukele continues to add Bitcoin to national reserves, which now hold 6,232 BTC worth around $690 million.
